Manage My Messages

The following options are available to help you manage your messages. If you haven't already logged in, you'll be asked to enter your PIN and Security Code when you make a selection. 

Access Message Recall
Use Message Recall to read and delete messages that have been sent to your unit over the past few days. This is especially useful when you're traveling outside of a coverage area, or have forgotten your unit.

Forward your messages

When you're on vacation or temporarily delegating calls to a colleague, you can forward your text and SkyTalk® voice messages, and your Fax service notifications to another SkyTel customer. When you are ready to receive your calls again, just return to this area to cancel forwarding or call SkyTel Customer Service.

First, review the Forwarding Chart to make sure you're forwarding messages to a compatible SkyTel customer.

Forward your Text Messages
Forward your text messages to another SkyTel text subscriber. This includes any messages sent via email, the SkyTel web site, and Operator Dispatch service. The recipient's account will be charged for messages received including the forwarding text attached to the message. Your account will also be charged if you choose to retain a copy of the forwarded messages in your mailbox.

Forward your Voice Messages
Forward your SkyTalk® notifications and messages to another SkyTalk® subscriber. When you forward your SkyTalk® messages, the recipient PIN holder will receive your SkyTalk® notifications and will have access to your SkyTalk® messages through their PIN and Security Code. The recipient's account will be charged for access when they listen to your messages. Your account will also be charged if you choose to retain a copy of the forwarded messages in your mailbox.


SkyTel Fax Advance Setup

SkyTel Fax Advance is an optional service for SkyWriter® and SkyWord Plus with SkyReply® customers. With Fax Advance, your contacts can send faxes to your Personal Access Number any time, regardless of where you may be traveling. You decide when and where to read the fax - forward to an email or fax machine, or access the fax here through Message Recall.

Fax Advance Setup is fast and easy. Decide where you want your faxes to be delivered - enter an email address and a fax machine telephone number - and select your delivery notification. When you receive a fax, SkyTel sends a notification to your pager. You select one of the entries from your Setup, or, if you're a SkyWriter® customer, choose an ad hoc email or fax number on your unit. Standard usage charges apply to add hoc forwarding and delivery notifications.

Setup Mobil Mail Agent For subscribers to SkyTel Mobile Mail service, activating this feature allows Mobile Mail to become a true extension of your desktop email. Mobile Mail Agent automatically checks your desktop every few minutes. When a new email arrives, a preview message is sent to your wireless handheld. If you choose, you can request to receive more of the email. When you respond to the email from your handheld, it will appear exactly as if it came from your desktop email.
