Create your eBay a-go-go ID:
The eBay a-go-go ID that you enter in this field will be
used to create a new Email address when you add "@auction.skytel.com" to the
end. For example: if you enter MarySmith in the field, your new Email address will be
MarySmith@auction.skytel.com. You must change your Email address in your eBay user
profile to this new ID@auction.skytel.com address in order to receive eBay
a-go-go auction alerts on your eBay Pager.
Your eBay a-go-go ID should be an easily remembered name, phrase or number. You will
need your eBay a-go-go ID to access your eBay a-go-go profile when you want to turn your
auction alerts on or off, or to make any other changes.
Your eBay a-go-go ID can be up to 20 characters, although we suggest you use no more
than 5-7 characters since it will be easier to remember. We suggest that you use your eBay
User ID as your eBay a-go-go ID. Use only letters of the alphabet and numbers – do
not use punctuation, symbols or spaces. The eBay a-go-go ID is also case sensitive.
That is, if you enter MarySmith, you cannot enter MARYSMITH, marysmith, or any other
combination that’s different from what you originally enter. Your eBay a-go-go ID and
Password may be the same.
Once set, your eBay a-go-go ID cannot be changed. It will remain the same
even if you change your wireless or computer Email address.
For your records, be sure to write your eBay a-go-go ID on the back of the postcard
that came with your eBay Pager.

Your eBay a-go-go Password is only used on this eBay
a-go-go site. You will need your Password when you want to turn your auction alerts on or
off, or make any changes to your eBay a-go-go profile.

Wireless Device Address
You can receive eBay a-go-go auction alerts if your
wireless device (pager, cell phone or PDA) has an Internet Email address and is capable of
receiving complete word messages. If you’re not sure whether your device has these
capabilities, please contact your service provider for further information.
There are two ways to enter your wireless device Email address:
- Enter your Pager Number (PIN) and select your service provider
from the drop-down list
OR
- Enter your complete device Email address if you know it.

Enter Your Computer Email Address
Enter the Email address where you currently receive your
Emails from eBay. You will continue to receive Emails from eBay at this address regardless
of whether your eBay a-go-go auction alerts are on or off.

Set Your Alert Status:
To receive eBay a-go-go auction alerts on your wireless
device, click the "On" button. Make sure your device is also turned on. If you
don’t want to receive eBay a-go-go auction alerts on your wireless device, click the
"Off" button.
You can change your Alert Status any time, as often as you wish.
Your eBay a-go-go alert status does not affect Emails sent to your computer Email
address from eBay, nor does it affect the ability of your wireless device to receive
personal messages. You’ll receive Emails from eBay on your computer and messages sent
to your wireless device regardless of whether your eBay a-go-go service is on or off.
