SkyTel remains in the forefront of technical excellence in wireless communications. The SkyTel networks represent mature data delivery technology, transmitting reliable communications to millions of customers every day.

The mission of SkyTel ReFLEX Telemetry Services is to work with developers and end-users to implement wireless data communication solutions. These solutions can be developed for almost any type of machine measurement system. Here are a few of the many fixed wireless applications currently in use or in development:

Automated Meter Readings: one-to-one for commercial and industrial uses; one-to-many for residential purposes
Automotive: Vehicle tracking, control and security
Vending: Automated monitoring and control
Health Care: Patient monitoring equipment
Security: Cut line detection
Tank Monitoring: Content level and material corrosion

There are currently two wireless data transceivers used for Telemetry applications on the SkyTel network. These wireless data transceivers are OEM circuit-board level 2Way devices. Click here to learn more about the wireless transceivers.
