Personal Access Number (PAN): With a toll-free Personal Access Number, subscribers and their callers have direct access to messaging functions, without having to enter a PIN. A 10-digit PAN combines the general access number and the subscriber's PIN, speeding and simplifying access. Voice Mail with Toll-free Access and Pager Notification: With our paging system's voice mail, subscribers enjoy the convenience of a full-featured voice mail system that integrates with their pager. Callers can leave a detailed voice message, and the system instantly alerts the subscriber. Voice Mail Integration/Notification: Subscribers can receive notification on their pagers when a voice mail message is received on other supported systems, such as office voice mail, mobile phone service, or Regional Bell Operating Company voice mail service. Operator Assisted Dispatch: This service allows callers to send a complete text message to a subscriber's pager by simply calling toll-free and dictating the message to an operator, who then transmits the message to the pager. Email Notification on Pager: Available on selected email systems, the email notification feature will send a page whenever email arrives. Subscribers receive email notification displayed on their pages as sender, subject and text. News Service: News and business information is transmitted directly to the pager four times a day and whenever a big story breaks. The headlines are broadcast at 9:15 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. EST weekdays and 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. EST Saturday and Sunday. Caller ID: Caller ID is a popular service on alphanumeric pagers. When a subscriber receives a numeric or voice-message notification on their pager, Caller ID service displays the identification of where the call originated. Guaranteed Messaging with Reply Capabilities: This service offers limited two-way messaging capability on Guaranteed Messaging pagers. Subscribers have the option of replying to a message one time or multiple times using a set of preprogrammed answers. Advanced Fax Service: Advanced Fax Service is an optional service for customers with reply capability - SkyTel 2-Way Messaging and Guaranteed Messaging with Reply Capability services. Your contacts can send faxes to your Personal Access Number without knowing your location at the time. You control when and where you read the fax by forwarding it to an email address or any fax machine. Message to Phone: With SkyTel Message to Phone feature, users can send a message from a SkyTel 2Way unit to almost any telephone number in the continental US. The user simply enters the name and telephone number as an email address into the SkyTel 2Way device's address book. For example, if the user needs to send a message to John Smith at 222-555-1234, the entry into the email field of the address book will be "John Smith@2225551234". The recipient hears the message in a computerized voice and has the option of replying. |
