FleetHawk gives you all the information you need for more control, security, and sound decision-making. It's the critical information about your fleets, vehicles, and deliverables that you've always wished you could have, available online, day or night.

How FleetHawk Works

Utilizing GPS technology, the FleetHawk system tracks vehicle position and speed. Even under poor signal conditions, FleetHawk’s assisted GPS provides accurate data delivery across SkyTel’s extensive wireless network. The system’s easy-to-use web-based interface ensures access from virtually any desktop PC, giving fleet managers the flexibility to ensure that their fleets are operating at peak efficiency in real time.

SkyTel’s FleetHawk line features two models – FleetHawk Pro and FleetHawk Pro3.

Our FleetHawk devices are designed for permanent installations and require a connection to a constant power source for operation. The devices include antenna connectors for a variety of external GPS and RF antennas.

The Pro device has I/O connectors (digital and analog) that enable you to monitor and control your vehicles’ systems and uses the SkyTel ReFLEX wireless network to deliver data to the FleetHawk website. The Pro 3 device includes digital I/O connectors that enable you to monitor your vehicles’ systems. The FleetHawk Pro3 uses a GPRS cellular network to deliver data to the FleetHawk website.

FleetHawk devices deliver vehicle data direct to your desktop via SkyTel’s secure network. From a desktop PC, the FleetHawk reporting system can be configured and customized to suit the specific needs of any fleet manager. There are no limitations on the number of vehicles, separate units, or users that can access the data. Reports can be produced for any data which FleetHawk monitors, and data can even be exported to other applications to easily integrate with existing reporting systems.

Dispatching and Routing

FleetHawk allows fleet managers to see the last location of any vehicle, and to find where any vehicle is currently located. To help with routing, FleetHawk can locate the closest vehicle to a specific address, and also display the route history of any specific vehicle or an entire fleet. For managers unable to keep a constant watch on fleet activities, FleetHawk can define and monitor geographic boundaries or geofences. Email or pager alerts can be sent any time vehicles enter or exit a specific geographic area. The FleetHawk map function can help improve fuel efficiency by giving accurate distances so the most efficient route can be planned.

Employee Productivity

FleetHawk helps improve driver efficiency while lowering the fuel costs to fleets and ensuring quality customer service. Designed to work without driver interaction or training, FleetHawk allows fleet managers to ensure route adherence through features such as geofences. Additionally, FleetHawk’s tracking capabilities can help to dramatically reduce or prevent personal misuse of company vehicles, and provide printed backup for timesheets and payroll disputes. Fleet Operations and Maintenance – With fuel costs skyrocketing, any efficiencies in fleet management will dramatically contribute to the bottom line. The U.S. Department of Energy has noted that fuel and maintenance costs can be significantly cut by simply reducing idle time and vehicle speed. Through the FleetHawk system, managers can monitor vehicle speeds, and establish alerts when desired speeds are exceeded. Additionally, vehicle electrical systems including ignition status and door locks can be monitored, helping to prevent the chance of vehicle theft.

Peace of Mind

FleetHawk’s geofences feature allows fleet managers to establish geographic boundaries, and send alerts when a vehicle crosses into an unauthorized area. This gives managers the assurance that drivers will stay true to pre-determined routes, and not wander into high crime areas or be on the road when they should be parked. In the event a vehicle is missing or stolen, FleetHawk can be used to remotely disable a starter, preventing the vehicle from being restarted after the engine is turned off. FleetHawk can also control electronic door locks, helping to lock unattended vehicles, or unlock doors if drivers inadvertently lock themselves out.

Other systems just track vehicles. Ours tracks revenue streams.

With FleetHawk, it’s even possible for fleets to increase the number of deliveries or service calls made, while improving the reliability and accuracy of scheduled stops. Fleet managers are able to provide proof of service to customers, as well as manage fuel and maintenance costs. Across the country, managers are discovering the distinct advantage FleetHawk gives their companies over competitors. More than anything, FleetHawk provides you with the knowledge to run your business more efficiently, and the peace of mind to know that your fleet is making the expected contribution to the company’s bottom line.
